I know there have been a lot of posts about this lately. I asked my Dr for the blood work to check for this and sure enough I have it even though she didn't think I would have it. I hope the Ursodiol RX helps because this itching sucks! For those that took this how long until you got some relief?

I'm glad your mystery has been solved!

For me, I'd say it took a few days on the rx before it was noticeably better. Each day it decreases a little at a time. I think it's because the existing acid has to get flushed out of your skin, which is the source of the itching. I've been on the meds for almost 2 weeks now, I think, and occasionally I still have very mild itching.  Since you are carrying three, it may take a little longer due to extra hormones, but hopefully not!

Sorry to hear you have it too. The meds kicked in about a week later and still have some mild itching at night but my levels were really high so thin it's taking a little longer to flush out everything. Did she mention anything about delivering early? Hope you are less scratchy soon and wishing you a healthy rest of your pregnancy!

Jamdonut I didn't think to ask how high my levels were but I hope I get some relief soon! The plan right now is for me to go to 35-36 weeks if I have no complications not sure if this will change now. I'm going to ask my MFM more when I go on Thur.

With the meds you should be able to feel a difference soon and make your goal! Let us know what your MFM says Thursday.
