Any suggestions on where to get comfy pants for a 4.5 year old? She is wearing size 5T cotton pants from Walmart and they are getting pretty tight, so I'm thinking I may have to go up in size (especially places like Target, since their brands run small).
It is really tough finding pants that are stretchy or cotton, and she doesn't like stuff like jeans. She also wore some corduroy pants last year but the waistband was stretchy all around (but not bunchy - it was a very nice pair from Lands End).
I'm worried that if I have to buy bigger sizes up from 5T, it will be really tough to find those comfy pants (and I'm not talking about sweats). Thanks!
Re: Comfortable pants for girls
My little girl is the same way (hates jeans) and she is 6 and wears a 6/6x. We wear a lot of dresses with leggings. I generally buy them from Carter's (Kohl's) and Hanna Andersson. Carter's largest size is a 6x so after this, not sure what we will do...Carter's also has elastic waist pants up to 6/6x. DD has a pink pair that she doesn't mind wearing.
Gymboress sometimes has them and they run big. You might try the 5T or 4/5 there.
The style is much older but in the future you can try Justice and TCP. We have started shopping more at both of those.
Hanna Andersson has yoga pants, microfleece pants for winter, and cords that you might want to check out. Plus lots of leggings.
I got an L.L.Bean kids catalog and they actually have quite a few non-jean options that go into children's sizes.

Old Navy has some elastic waist pants. I love them for my DD.
These go up to 5T. I've found Old Navy pants to run on the larger side.
Jeans (I know you said no jeans, but the material isn't scratchy)
Poplin pants
Tie-front twill pants
I'd also do leggings.
