One bit of advice I got was to make sure that the adjuster strap is in the front, when it's behind it's hard to tighten and they need to be tightened regularly
We have the Chicco Keyfit22 for our infant car seat and loved it! DD stayed in it until she was about 15 months old and outgrew it by length before weight.
We have the Britax Roundabout 50 because at the time that was the only Britax that would fit in our small compact car. Britax car seats come highly rated for convertible seats and definitely wait until you are ready for your baby to go into the new seat before buying.
