baby is here!

little miss caroline was born this morning at 7:29. she weighed in at 9 pounds 1 ounce and we are completely smitten with her.

her blood sugar was a little low at birth, so she did have to get some formula. but since then we've been breastfeeding and i'm trying to stay really hopeful that it will work out this time.

our families have been here to meet her and are coming back tonight. audrey loved holding caroline and was excited about her baby sister, even though she was dead set that she was getting a baby brother.

i was quite nervous walking back to the o.r. room and even started crying. once i got my spinal i started to relax and thankfully i had great nurses and a sweet doctor who made surgery go really smooth. one of my c/s fears was told i shouldn't/couldn't have more kids. but my dr said everything looked good, and saw no reason why we couldn't/shouldn't.

all in all it's been a great day and i am feeling overwhelmingly happy and blessed. my cup runneth over.
