I just washed my brand new WCW longies in Euclen wool wash and lansino lanolin. Now there are white splotches on it. I'm guessing it is undissolved lanolin? Any idea on how to remedy the problem? TIA!!
If they aren't already felted, try and soak them in warmish water, or spot-treat with hot water and your finger- don't rub too vigorous or they WILL felt.
If they're already felted, it should be easy enough as putting hot water on and rubbing with your finger or a cloth.
I'd do nothing. It's probably little bits of lanolin, and they aren't going to hurt anything (aside from looking odd), and they'll rub in with use. I tend to lanolize pretty thoroughly, and make sure to turn my woolies inside out so any spots are more likely to wind up on the inside. I don't recall them persisting past the first wear.
