We were so excited we wanted to tell everyone but we're trying to hold back.
Several of my coworkers already know because they were the ones who first figured out my symptoms.... I told 2 of my best friends and DH told 2 of his best friends. I'm visiting my parents this weekend and I'm so nervous to tell my mom because I know she'll think it's way too soon after the wedding, but we're very close and I know I should. I know his family is going to be thrilled-- they've wanted us to have kids for years!
My DH is the only person who knows (well besides all of my doc. and nurses, etc). We'll tell family and close friends at 12 weeks and then I'll probably tell work around 16 weeks.

So far we've only told my best friend, DH's cousin, and one couple we're super close to (basically, just the people who knew we were ttc). We're going to tell my MIL in the beginning of October (8-9 weeks) as she lives overseas but will be in the States then so we can tell her in person. We're planning on holding off telling everyone else until as close to 12 weeks as possible. I will probably have to end up telling some of the ladies at work before then, however, thanks to my overactive bladder -I'm a teacher & can't take bathroom breaks (except twice a day) without finding someone to watch my class. They will know something's up if I keep having emergencies often, so I'll go ahead and tell them.
I've only told my trainer (for obv reasons) and my DH has told ONE close friend at work as his job is fairly stressful and he claims he NEEDED to tell him. So obv he told his wife which I'm fine with cuz i'm pretty sure it will stop there as she doesn't talk with our other friends AND she's has a one year old and is pregnant with twin boys!
i think we are going to wait til at least our first appt Sept 20th... and then DH's sister's bachelorette is Oct 8th so I'm guessing cat will have to be out of the bag then!
We haven't told anyone yet. I'll probably tell my sister and two of my close friends early because they will definitely start to wonder when I completely give up wine (and they know we were ttc). I'm trying to wait until after I get my beta results back but the timing may not work like that.
For close family, we are waiting until we have our first doctor's appointment, for everyone else, 12 weeks. Most of our family lives out of state so we will probably try to skype with them-nothing special.
Besides Twitter? My group of close friends. I am near insanity at points with this pregnancy, and they are good listeners who are rooting for me. My boss, because I need early and frequent monitoring. Another colleague who is a friend and who happened on me minutes after I found out my OB's office couldn't order the tests I needed. DH told a good friend of his so he would have some support. If the betas continue well, and the progesterone doesn't bottom out, I'll tell my mom soon.

H knows, a former co-worker who is also expecting knows, and one current co-worker knows. I am planning on telling my mother on her birthday. I would like to send her a birthday card witht he u/s picture saying happy birthday and btw congrats you're going to be a grandma again. Not really sure how I will tell my ILs or siblings.
So far only my DH knows. We're planning on telling my mom next week (it is her birthday) and my in-laws some time that week as well. We'll wait a few more weeks to tell our siblings. I don't think we'll tell anyone else until at least 10 weeks.
We got my mom a book, B&N gift card, and a book mark that says "I love Grandma" on it for her birthday. It is her first grandchild so I am really excited to tell her.
I don't know how we'll tell my in-laws.

We've told a few close friends. We don't live near either of our families, and want to do something special to tell them this time. So we're waiting until after we get an u/s.
I have only told my brother because he's a Dr and I had some medically related questions yesterday.
I plan on telling my parents on Sunday and DH's parents on Tuesday when they're staying with us.
Other than that we haven't figured out when to tell others. Of course our general friends/acquaintances won't know until we're in 2T but we need to figure out when to tell close friends and other family.
We told all parents and siblings. Which we also did with our DD. We are glad that we did it this way. We know that if anything were to happen we would want our parents and siblings to be a part of everything no matter what. Especially for their support.
No special ways of telling though sort of just come out and say it. I think we were more creative with our DD#1
We told my sisters and sis-in-law right away. I wanted a bit more support in case things don't go well again (c/p last yr).
I'll have an u/s just before 7 wks. Assuming things go well there, I plan to tell my family when we celebrate my birthday (early October). I have a couple of "Big Sister" shirts for DD, so I think I'm going to play it casual and take her into her room for a clothing change, then see how long it takes people to notice.
