I was walking to CVS to get roach baits (ewww, but it's summer and to be expected) and was waiting to cross the street when I saw 4 rats scurrying in and out of the sewer at my feet.

Not that I've never seen rats before, but I have never, ever seen them in my neighborhood.  They must have laid down some poison somewhere and drove them down to us.  I'll be calling 311 about that tomorrow.

SO glad I don't live in NYC. We have little field mice in the barn, but the worst we ever have in the house is little sugar ants (which drive me batty). Blech.
