I am happy to report that he is 100% pee trained, even over night. I am so proud of him-- he even takes himself to the bathroom at night if he wakes up and needs to go. It's been more than a week of dry nights.
Da poop is another story. <sigh> He has still not put a single poopie into the potty. He still says that he's scared. We've tried sitting and reading, covering the water with tissue so it won't spash, all that. We have THREE huge gifts waiting on top of the fridge for poop milestones, but it ain't happening.
Since the underwear was his idea in the first place and then the undies overnight, I am holding out hope that the poop isn't too far behind.
Re: DS vs the Potty, Part the Three Hundred and First
Is he pooping his pants? Is he cleaning the mess?
Good luck!!!
Yup, pants and helping. He can't clean up completely by himself.
The doc says he's the most stubborn kid he's seen in a very long time. I am just hoping that quality will serve him well later in life, because it's making me nuts now. LOL

I am honestly not too stressed about it. He won't have an accident at school-- the kid has assmuscles of steel. It's going to have to be on his terms, that's become clear.
I am just so happy that he's pee trained. He went from 100% pullups to dry overnight in less than 3 weeks.

LOL at assmuscles of steel. I wish my kids would save their pooping for home. They love pooping in public toilets, which is decidedly better than in their pants, but still...
Sounds like one day he'll just decide to do it on his own.
