stools & introduction of meats?

Dr advised us to start meat dinners (chicken with apples, turkey & sweet potatoes) at our last appointment.  Shes' started to have SOLID stools - as opposed to the pasty mess she always used to have.

Did anyone else experience this?  She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort - so I'm not OVERLY worried (ie not enough to call the doctor).

Re: stools & introduction of meats?

  • Formed or dry?  Formed is normal, but dry and hard is related to constipation.  I wouldn't call the Dr immediately if there wasn't also bleeding, etc.  I would add more fiber to keep things moving faster.  Something like applesauce, oatmeal, whatever works for your LO.  I would also make sure they are getting enough liquid if they are dry stools, like water at mealtime or more formula, etc.
