Cloth Diapering

Your help is appreciated!

I've never used cloth diapers before...I kind of understand how they work, but I have a few questions.

My daughter is 10 months 17ish lbs (very skinny) and we are looking into cloth diapering because she has the WORST diaper rash I've ever seen and we can't really figure out why. I've heard that the  risk of diaper rash when using cloth is much lower. We really don't have alot of money to invest in this venture right now so if you could point me in a simple cost effective way to start that would be awesome!

Thanks!

  • Prefolds are the cheapest option but if you don't want to deal with folding and pinning you could try the GMD workhorse diapers.  http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/diapers.htm

Also, try http://hyenacart.com/Spots_corner/index.php?category=2  or craigslist for used diapers.

I am a big fan of pocket diapers.  They go on like a disposable (daddy proof) and dry quickly.  We really like Lovely Pocket Diapers.  They are as low as $7 for a good diaper.

This is what we need!!! Papa proof and daddy proof!
