Infertility Veterans

Turns out...

That my new co-teacher (the one who is PG) struggled with IF, too!  It was so weird to find out that we even go to the same office and have sometimes seen the same on-call RE.

It took her almost two years (one treated) to conceive her first child, and this one only took about 10 months.  She has PCOS and was able to conceive on Clomid.

Obviously, I don't wish IF on anyone, but it is nice to have someone around who understands.  We had a long talk about it and, so far, she is the only IRL person I have met who has been through the same thing and that I have been able to talk to about it.  I hope this means that she will be understanding when I have RE appointments this year!

  • Having someone IRL to talk about going through IF can be so helpful.  I know that I talk to my SIL about stuff that she's already been through, it's really comforting.

  • That might make things a lot easier on you. It always helps to have someone in your corner....especially when you are going through something so draining. I hope it all works out perfectly Smile
