How tight should the leg elastic be?

I'm new to CDing and have LO in a small FB right now.  I'm not sure how tight the leg elastic should be.  I have it on the 2nd button in but I don't want it to be too tight.  Is there a guide to which button to use?  LO is 13lbs and his legs are chubby, but not super chubby.  TIA.

  • Your baby is the guide, lol. It should be snug. You don't want it too tight that it's leaving deep red marks. More than likely there will be a little redness and a few indents from the leg elastic but nothing drastic. But it should also be tight enought that there isn't any gaping, otherwise you'll get leaks. It may just take some trial and error.

  • Your package should have a guide on it or look on line FB has it on their web site.  We use the guide and then re adjust as needed.

  • The marks on the leg should only be temporary- kind of like when you take a pair of socks off- you can see the indents, but it's not red and super deep.
