-~*IF + Loss Weekly Check In*~- (Aug 30)

This is a weekly check-in for those of us who beat IF and got pregnant, but sadly has suffered a loss.  It is hard enough to face infertility, but adding in the fear of mc/pregnancy loss makes our journeys all the more stressful.  This check-in is just a way to provide extra support to each other.  If you want to be on the list just respond to this post with an intro and your EDD(s) and I'll add you.

Note: I did a little shuffling, checking to see who's had their babies (so many babies!) and who might not have mentioned they were pregnant and updated the lists as best as I could Don't forget to give us an update!

Update:  No treatment this month, I just got AF - my first one post IVF and c/p.  I had my phone consult with the RE after she ran some more tests.  DH's sperm DNA fragmentation test came back normal, as did my TSH, T4 and thyroid antibodies.  The only not great test was my AMH number, it was on the low side, but not so low that the RE thinks we shouldn't continue.  We may try IVF again, I am not sure about the money though, my RE did mention a possible discount cycle.  In Oct or Nov. we are going to try a couple months of IUI's in the meanwhile.  I was relieved that she was supportive of that. 

I had a rough couple of days over the weekend.  Just emotional.  I saw The Help and one of the previews just about threw me over the edge and I sobbed when I got home.  I guess some days are just more of a trigger than others.

QOTW:  I am barefoot right now.  I just did my exercise video and the first thing I do after is take my shoes and socks off!!

Update: We had our WTF today.  RE is very optimistic about our next cycle, but I wanted blood work done anway (karyotyping, autoimmune, clotting, etc.), so we'll see what those results say and go from there.  He surprisingly said I could start BCPs whenever AF shows up.  I'm not sure how I feel about this --- seems soon, no?

We started estrogen for FET#2 instead of the BCP I expected at the end of the natural cycle after my m/c. So I think all my doc needed to see was that I had a quiet cycle and my body was healed up. BCP seems harmless in the first month after- and might help keep your cycle from being odd.

Update: 2ww, bored with being in the 2ww. I'm not anxious (the good meds to keep me from being anxious are nice) but I'm tired of having Schrodinger's cat in my uterus and wish I could fast forward to + or -.

QOTW: My brown backless sandals. I tried to break in a new pair of mary janes yesterday and nothing touches the back of my heel until it heals up

Hi can you please add me. My first IVF in 12/10 was a BFN. 2nd IVF in 4/11 was A BFP but ended in MC on 6/17/11 at 12 weeks. My Edd was 12/30/11. I'm taking Estrace now and go for my lining check tomorrow. We are tenatively scheduled for our 3rd IVF FET on 9/9 but that could change after tomorrow's appt. I'm s o friggin' nervous and scared. I'm barefooted right now.

Update: DH and I are planning to try IVF #4 in 2-3 months as soon as the drs say its ok to try again after our loss.
