Extreme gassiness after eating a no-no food?

DS had terrible gas yesterday, my ordinarily happy and easy going baby screamed like a colicky newborn for over an hour until we found some gas relief drops and he passed some of the gas, then he took a 4 hour nap, the day before he had an allergic reaction, just hives and swelling. I was wondering if maybe it was related?

I accidentally ate a no no food 4 days ago. DS and I have been so gassy!! I don't think my body is used to soy anymore. I was miserable the first night. I had awful cramps. So yes I think its possible.
