Hey ladies!  I am venturing over from the Nest.  H and I just found out this morning we are having twins! 

A little about us: I am L, my husband is A.  We are both 28 and live east of Cincy.  I grew up in Madeira and A grew up in the middle of nowhere along 52.  Feel free to ask anything.

My question for you all... at what point do I need to start looking at daycares and getting our name on the list?  I will need to go back to work around 8-12 weeks, although may be able to swing part time for awhile.  I am open to centers or homes, but would probably prefer a home option where the provider is good at keeping LOs on a schedule and doing enrichment activities with them.  I am open to suggestions; my work is in the Batavia area, so anywhere around there or further east down 125.  Thanks and looking forward to getting to know you!

Congrats and welcome!  I am no help with daycares in Cinci (I'm in Dayton), but I would say the sooner the better to start looking.  The other ladies can probably be of more help with specifics.

Welcome... Sorry I'm no help with daycare. I live in Milford and use an in home provider, but that would not work for you. Deffinitely start looking soon though.

Congrats and welcome! I'm not a huge help with daycare centers. I currently nanny for a family with one little girl & bring my son with me. If you are open to having a nanny/sitter come to your home, try sittercity.com or care.com. Good luck!

Congratulations!  Another good resource is 4-C for children https://www.4cforchildren.org/.  If you call them, they can help you out with navigating all the information.  Also, I did not find a need to get ourself on a waiting list immediately.  We started to look and made a decision about 3 months before I had dd.  Good Luck!

Thanks, ladies!  I just didn't know if the wait would be longer waiting for two spots to open up.  I will wait a few weeks before we start looking.
