Implantation bleeding for a month?

I just recently stopped, but I had implantation bleeding or maybe spotting? for about 4 weeks on and off. I know they say don't worry about it unless you bleed bright red or have strong cramps but I have never had implantation bleeding for that long. Has anyone else? I won't be able to see a Dr for another week or so and I am not too concerened but I have never heard of it going on this long. Just wondering if anyone else here has experienced it.
