Anyone ever do WW to lose10lbs?

I just cannot seem to get these 10 or so lbs. off.  It all has to do with eating.  I feel like meetings may hold me accountable and give me the support I feel like I may need at this stage in my life.  I used to work out so much that it didn't really matter how much I was eating or if I was stress eating, but I find that I don't have the energy to have long power workouts before the kids get up, take care of/spend time with them, go to work PT each day, and then still have energy to spend time with them, clean up a bit and make dinner, etc.  I end up exhausted by 12 and stress/tired eating by 3.  I've tried cutting back the workouts a lot, but I still feel like a little support from WW might help keep me on track while things are so crazy around here.  I'm a bit afraid to walk into a group with only 10 lbs. to lose.  Any stories, ideas, advice, anything would be appreciated. TIA.

Re: Anyone ever do WW to lose10lbs?

  • I used WW online to lose 10+ lbs for my wedding.  I thought it worked out great.  It was so nice to track everything online.

I did try meetings once or twice, but I felt weird.  Here I was already at a pretty healthy weight (maybe like 140?) and just needing to lose less than 15 lbs and I was surrounded by women with much more serious weight problems.  I didn't feel particularly welcome and it was just awkward so I used the online program.

    GL with your decision!

  • Totally feel like that will happen if I go there.  I'm a smaller girl and I feel like it won't go over well and I completely understand why.  I just want to fit into my clothes normally again and stop the yo-yo weight.

     Thanks for the advice Laney.

  • I did, and I also felt unwelcome at the meeting as I was surrounded by people who were easily 100+ lbs overweight.

So I went to the intial meeting and after that I went once a week to weigh in, but did not stay for the meeting.  I did all my work online and lost the weight in three weeks.

I really wish I had done the lifetime membership.  Once you reach your goal weight, you can enroll in this lifetime memebership where you don't have to pay to go back for help if you need it later.  I gained the weight back, but don't want to pay the fees anymore.  :(
