And hopefully this question doesn't offend anyone...I'm just curious! 

When do you usually POAS and how many pregnancy tests do you usually go through each cycle?

 

I'm really trying to resist testing at 9 dpo. The first time around, I was charting so never even POAS prior to my BFP at 13 dpo. I don't know how I had so much self control! I think this time, I can totally see myself starting at like 8-9 dpo and then testing like everyday.

I did once test at 9 dpo but I got a BFN. I normally don't test now until I am late which is normally 15 or 16 dpo for me. After a year and half it's just too hard to see those BFN month after month. I think I would just much rather see AF and know. I do have a collection of tests so who knows if I will actually get to go through them! Good luck to you.

I chart and only have a 12d LP, so I rarely POAS. The few times I have done it on 10 dpo, I have been incredibly disappointed, so I just don't bother.

On unmedicated cycles, I never POAS. I just wait. On medicated cycles, I usually test out the trigger, then start testing again on 10 dpo. Occasionally I will start testing out the trigger and just keep going. It's an addiction I have.

For me it depends on one major factor.  How many tests do I have?    If I have a lot of them I might test on CD9 and keep testing til I get to a + or AF.  If I only have a couple of tests I wait til CD13.  If I get a neg I will wait 2 days to use another test.  Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I try really hard not to POAS, but I rarely succeed at this goal.  I usually test once, around CD 25.....but then don't test again until I'm late.  Keeping thinking that I need to buy some Dollar store test, and save the expensive ones for when I am late.  If I could just get one BFP, all the stark white sticks would have been worth it!

I try to wait until 10 dpo.  Once I start all bets are off - I will poas twice a day or more until af.

I have only POAS once... I am rarely late so I just wait until AF is supposed to show.  I have really short cycles - O on around CD9 or 10 and AF around CD24 or 25 so I'm usually not waiting too long.

I POAS around 5 times each cycle.  Sometimes more and sometimes not at all.  My LP varies in length and I always go into the 2ww feeling hopeful.  BFNs don't bother me that much.  I buy ICs and various other brands.  I use the ICs and if I "think" that I see something then I will use a good one.  I have at least 30 preganancy tests in my home most of the time.

I just bought the 50 pack of Wondfo's from Amazon for $9, so I could test out the trigger on the next IUI cycle, but they arrived here early and I started testing 9dpo, 10dpo, 11dpo, only to see one line staring back at me. Only the first one put me in a bad mood - then I was over it, and just hoping for FP to show so I can get the next cycle started.

50 for $9!  I did not see that.  That would really fuel my POAS addiction.

I only POAS when I'm at least 12dpo and only if we timed sex right. I chart and use opk's so that's how I track when to test. I've actually gotten pretty good about resisting the urge to POAS.

10dpo and wouldn't know what to do if I actually got a positive.  Love doing OPKs so at least something good comes out of POAS.

Great question!  Usually I don't POAS unless I'm late.  But last month I tried Clomid for the first time.  I must have P'd on half a dozen S's at least, including fairly early because I was getting phantom symptoms and figured what the h*ll.  I bought in bulk from that earlypregnancytest.com place (I probably don't have the url totally right) -- tests are less than a dollar each, so I don't feel too guilty about using a lot of them.  (Downside:  to use them you have to pee in a cup.)  I don't think I'll hold back from here on out -- at least a negative test a few days before AF is due keeps me from getting my hopes up too high, even if I know I'll keep testing until AF shows up.
