Infertility

OMG! EWCM!

I had a hysteroscopy on Tuesday to remove a small adhesioin.  I have EWCM today.  Is it OK to BD tonight?  The doctor said 2 weeks, but I don't want to miss my 10% chance of conceiving "naturally" this year!

Re: OMG! EWCM!

  • If doc says two weeks, he means 2 weeks! Procedures such as a hysteroscopy involve entry of an instrument through the cervix - you're at an increased risk for infection. It's only been 5 days from your procedure.

  • I had to wait 2 weeks after my hysteroscopy as well.  My doctor was very strict about that.

  • I agree.  I would definitely wait the two weeks.

  • So this is what happened last night.  I was going to take your advice and not BD.

But I wanted to check my cervix to see how soft it was in light of the EWCM.  So I checked ... however, I laughed later when I remember the discharge papers saying, "Nothing in vagina for 2 weeks."

DUH!  I just stuck my own fingers up there!  BD or fingers, what's the difference from "nothing in vagina for 2 weeks"?

Although cervix did feel soft and low, and it was slippery inside.  Hmmm ... got an +OPK today too.
