Gift for 2 year old boy...

DS's friend is turning 2 and I'm trying to think of a gift for him.  I know he's into trucks, trains, cars, etc (he's a very typical boy!! LOL), but I was thinking of doing something a bit different.  I considered doing a gift basket full of craft supplies.  WDYT?  Good gift or should I stick with a toy?

my 2 yo son loves cars, trains, etc.  we have the geotrax stuff and he loves  to play with it.  He also loves playdough and to paint.  I think the craft idea is really cool.  Everyone could use that kind of stuff.

Craft stuff is a great present for a 2 year old!  We are going to a party on Sunday and this is what I got him also.  Cedrics birthday is in a few weeks and it is a gift that I would love for him to have.

The crafts are a great idea!  DS loves Chuck vehicles which we got him for his B-Day.  We also got him a bean bag chair for $20 or $25 at Target...he loves it!

my son loves to paint and color. Finger paints and paper would be fun. He also loves stickers. We have a Cars sticker book and he loves it.

 He also love matchbox cars.
