vent: dh's work

DH has to travel a lot for work.  Due to the nature of the work, the timing can be up in the air and he doesn't exactly know when everything will fall.  Normally, he is gone for 2 weeks at a time.  Well issues came up on his current and it will be over two weeks that he is gone and he doesn't even know when he will be back.  Then he has another trip right after that.....  I did tell him that come December he is grounded and has to stay home.  I just want to get some stuff done with him around the house.

 Is it December yet?

    Luckily DH's trips are usually Mon-Fri, he's rarely gone on the weekend (sometimes he goes from Tues - Sat though) but he is always told about them last minute and THAT drives me nuts. I hate when I have to change plans!

    I don't fault him though... we both work for the Department of State, so I know how little control he has over when he has to leave and how soon he is told. I found out last week that I have to go to Houston, TX tomorrow until Saturday. The good thing is that this is my last trip until after the baby comes, but I'm not looking forward to leaving DH home w/2 kids.... or me being left home with the 2 of them.

    I hate that our jobs have such a big impact on our family life!
