What do you pack in your child's lunch box?

Welcome back to the school year to all the mommies and teachers! Hope all of your little ones have had a great first couple of days back!

This is the first time I have to actually pack a child's lunchbox and need a little help. Quick and easy would be best as coming home from work leaves little time to make something complicated. So please share a Monday to Friday lunch menu for your toddlers! :-) Thanks!

Re: What do you pack in your child's lunch box?

  • I pack Eli a lunch Monday through Thursday as he buys pizza on Pizza Fridays.  I usually pack him a simple ham and cheese sandwich, goldfish crackers, applesauce, juice, water and three cookies.  Some alternatives include - macarroni and cheese, baked ziti leftovers, chicken nugget sandwich, chips, chocolate pudding, fruit cup, cheese stick, graham crackers, or fruit snacks. I'm not that creative but Eli is a picky eater so I give him what he likes and the box always returns home empty (=

  • I pack both lunches everyday.  And here is generally what I pack:

    ham and cheese with crackers

    burritos

    quesadillas

    pasta in a thermos

my girl likes turkey hot dogs so I cut them up for her

    grilled cheese sandwiches

    chicken

really anything we normally would eat for lunch as a main dish so to speak and then I always add a starch like pretzels, cheez its, goldfish, etc. A fruit.  Canteloupe, oranges, mango, etc... cheese stick, yogurt, applesauce, etc..

And a tiny dessert like item, like a cookie or fruit snacks.

     Good luck..
