Yesterday I was so tired, that I didn't think to really ask my doctor what in the hell this is supposed to mean. She told me he should be born any minute now, it's just a matter of going into labour... was she just saying that (my other doctor has been saying I'll go 'any day now', since the last week of September!) or is there something to this all?
She had a student in the room, and had her do a second internal (what fun) and was gushing about how baby is so low and ready to go right now. It was kind of comical, actually. I'm wondering if I'm over-hyping myself (as ever) with this little bit of news I can recall from yesterrday, or if there's something to his head being in the birth canal despite no water breaking or anything!
I do remember she said I'm still about 2-3cm dilated and about 80-90% effaced. If that makes any difference.
Re: Baby's head is in the birth canal??
I'm about as far along as you and have been 2-3 cm dilated, 70% effaced and my baby is dropped very low....for 2-3 weeks! I go to see my midwife today and hope there has been some change or some sign that things are going to happen soon!
Unfortunately, I don't know that it means much, its still a crapshoot as to when we will go into labor!
Oh boy. I went from 1CM to almost 3 within... um, since Wednesday last week to yesterday, I don't know if that's good or bad or what! Lol.
Ohh good good!
This makes me feel much better. Now I don't have to make a half-asleep phonecall to the doctor office to get a better explanation... I feel like I can type better than I can talk, when tired. They might think I'm drunk!
