So yesterday I had these really BAD pains all over my belly (up high, down low and on both sides) I thought it was gas or something like that, but everything I tried didnt work to get them to stop, they just coming and going. So I called my MW and she said head to the hospital. So off we went they put the monitors and baby was good and i was having contractions. It turned out I was dehydrated, 3 IV bags later I was ok to go home.

This happened to me a little over a week ago. I was having contractions every 3-4 minutes with 45-60 second duration.  I was relieved that IV fluids took care of it!

I had a similar conversation with an OB yesterday.  Occasionally, my uterus would become extremely hard and rigid.  Not painful, just rigid.  Then it would go away.  She said it sounded like a contraction brought on by dehydration.  And I thought I was doing pretty well with the water intake.

I thought I was doing good with drinking water, guess not! I guess I should walk around with a bottle on my hip at all times!!!! LOL
