IVF cancelled :(
I was supposed to start IVF stims last night, but at my baseline appointment yesterday there was an estrogen-producing cyst, so it was a no-go. I was supposed to hear back from the nurse this morning, after checking with the doctor, about what happens now, but still haven't heard anything. I'm more frustrated and disappointed than I expected. It feels like all that positive energy I spent gearing myself up to start (it is our first IVF after 4 failed IUIs) just got pushed back down.
For anyone who was delayed for this reason -- how long did you have to wait?

So sorry about the bad news. I actually had a similar concern with a possible cyst, but they had me come back in after a week and I was allowed to start stims. Hoping for a short delay for you!!
ETA: Mine ended up being a "paratubal cyst" so it wasn't something on my ovaries.

7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

Sorry about your delay, but at least you didn't start the meds and then find out, and have to buy them again!! Trying to find a silver lining for you!
Did your RE discuss aspirating it instead of cancelling?
Hopefully you can start over again with your next AF.
I know it's hard getting your mindset ready and then hearing you won't be starting, but you want to be sure that everything is perfect!!

I can relate to your frustration. I was supposed to start my 1st IVF at the end of June (had nearly finished my BCPs), and during my sonogram, they found a polyp, requiring a hysteroscopy/D&C. Because my uterine lining had to rebuild itself, I had to wait an extra natural cycle after that. I am finally back on BCPs, and am really hoping that they don't find any new problems at my second sonogram next Wednesday, when I am supposed to start stimming so long as there are no new problems. Like PP said, although it is frustrating, it's not cancelled, just delayed.
