Is this dress too slutty/does it suit my figure?

I bought this dress off linay recently, however I'm not sure if it suits me or not and whether it looks too slutty. I'm quite a shy person so if it's one of those dresses that needs lots of confidence to pull off, it's probably not for me. Also, does it make me look fat/wide? Normally, I'm not skinny and I've put on a lot of weight recently, however I feel this makes me look fat, though I always think I look fatter than I am, apparently. Thanks for your help!
