So, I am on the last dose of one of my Follistim cartridges... I had my cd 3 bloodwork on Thursday- and decided to start shots on Friday. Well, I just went to the pharmacy- where it is always called in, and they had no record of it being called in... It was supposed to have been called in Thursday morning (it takes about 1 day for them to get the Follistim at the pharmacy) I was supposed to get my Ovidrel shot called in as well.
Well, the pharmacy said it wasn't called in...And the re's office is closed...and under the list of what is considered an emergency per the re info, this is not an emergency... uh, ok...
anywho, I left a message saying I would be willing to drive about 4 hours round trip to pick it up at a place that can get it the same day... I bet that is what is going to have to happen... I was so angry and socked and upset at the pharmacy when they told me... I couldn't believe it. I know it isn't their fault.
So, You think I should ask for mileage reimbursement having to drive 4 hours rounds trip and 230 miles?
I already paid 45.00 copay to start this cycle and this is an inconvenience. I understand that we are all human, but ARGH!
Re: A little shocked, and upset...
OH MAN... This sucks
Is that far away pharm open and have follistm in stock? If they do and you could make it there before close I would call the office and have the on call MD call you back, He may be annyoned but it's really nothing to give him the number and have him call it in tonight. However if you can't get it tonight I would wait till monday.
As for the mileage reimbursement not sure who you would ask but I wouldn't count on that
I wish you the best of luck.
