So i am really early but me and my boyfriend just chucked a couple of names around and i told him my favorite boy name and he loves it but we both wonder is it even usable.
What do you think of the name
Alaric Joel Olin
Olin is my boyfriends surname
Gracie- 17 years old
expecting our little spring baby girl on april the fourth!
That is quite the name--I had to look it up and give myself a quick history refresher. Do you like the name because of the way it sounds, the meaning behind it/the king, or because it's obscure and Ancient Germanic? In any case, I actually find myself liking it--just don't make a sibset with Charlemagne, m'kay?
Oh, I really like it It's a unique name without it seeming like your trying really hard to make it unique, and I think it sounds great with the last name. It's a name few other people will have, but it doesn't sound crazy or weird like a lot of names people are choosing these days. As someone with a ridiculously common name, I really see the benefits of uncommon names!!
I actually like it but did you get it from the Vampire Diaries?
No i heard it before when reading something, about 4 years ago and sort of liked it but then when i kept hearing it from the vampire diaries i did think it could be mainstream lol

I think Alaric Olin is too hard to say and am not a huge fan of the L in each of the 3 names. Also, I hear 'colon' a little when I say them together. If you're going to go with an uncommon name [which I totally understand], I'd go with something a little easier for people to pronounce upon seeing it.

Sorry, I just assumed you got it from King Alaric who sacked Rome.

When we had DS, DH and I were not married. We still gave DS DH's last name. I actually like the FN choice. MN choice is okay.
Hi fellow April 2012 Mom!
I like Joel, but Alaric is not my favorite. Where did you hear it?
