Prep and Dry Question

I am prepping my prefolds right now 
Do I need to dry them each time or can I just do several wash cycles? Also, I just got thinking as I listen to my wolly rounds bounce around in the dryer (they aren't as loud as I thought..wahoo!) it is okay to put them in with the prefolds right even though they aren't fully prepped? The oils wont impact the wolly rounds or transfer to my other stuff right? TIA!
