Friday Fitness Check - In

I didn't see this already posted, so pardon me if this is a duplicate.

How'd everyone do this week?

We continued with P90X.  I am just happy that we haven't quit at this point because it's 6 days a week of workouts and each workout is minimum of 1 hour so its just a big time commitment.  But my body feels good... just fitter.  

Nutrition - we've been pretty good.  I have cheated a couple times and had carbs or something sweet, but its in the minority and I have not been drinking at all.  I think I lost 2 lbs after week one and my husband lost 8 (whoa! I think it must have been the lack of booze and water weight?).  Anyway, we're sticking with it and trying to do some workouts at night so we don't have to get up at 5 :( in the morning and try to push through before the kids wake up.

  • I've had my usual 3 mornings at the gym and some really good workouts. Diet is going well, too, except for last night, when I went out for drinks and dinner with girlfriends. Oopsie!

  • I haven't eaten much better, BUT I worked out 4 times.  Going to the gym tomorrow and Sunday too - feeling good and motivated.

  • I have been doing Ripped in 30 Monday through Thursday.  When I finish the 30 days, I do the 30 Day Shred and then back to RI30.  I need a new one but I love how short these 2 are.

    Eating has been so so.  I just learned how to make a brownie in a mug in the microwave so yeah........:)

     I was good earlier in the week.  Ran Sun-Tues.  (We were on vacation and it was easy to get up and run while DH was with the kids).  Since we have been home I've just been too busy...cleaning house is a work out though, right??

    Anyone can be cool, but awesome takes practice!
  • I ran 2 miles on Wednesday and Friday and Tuesday and Thursday I worked out to Erin O'Brien's "Strong Body Fit Body".  I was NOT happy with my weigh-in/measurements this week but I also figure that AF is due in a couple days so that may be working against me as well.  Either way, I needed to get going again, I'm running a 5k on Sept.3 and I don't want to be struggling the whole time:)

  • Friday - DH and I walked 3 miles. 

    Today - I walked 2 miles with my brother and DS. =]

    My knee is still a little sore, so no running or leg workouts tell it heals.
