High cholesterol?

I had to take a screening today for work in order to lower my health premiums for next year and my cholesterol was SO high!  It was like 319!  It was a little high before I got pregnant (due to genetics) but have any of you experienced anything like this???

They wouldn't even test my cholesterol while pregnant because it's not accurate.  It's much higher while pregnant.  I'm surprised they included that for you.

Cholesterol is SUPER inaccurate during pregnancy. Usually pregnant women should be "exempt" from cholesterol testing.

Ok, thanks ladies.  I know it is normally high but not anywhere near what it was today.  I also didn't fast before it so maybe that impacted it as well.

Wow, that is high, but I didn't know it was inaccurate while pregnant...good to know. My sister had a cholesterol reading of around 320 a couple years ago and she wasn't or ever was pregnant. Very scary. But I gues if it's inaccurate during pregnancy, wait to get it check after you deliver and have lost some weight.

I'm sure mine is high right now due to this GD diet. I find myself eating tons of eggs and cheese, which we all know is pretty high in cholesterol. I'm not going to stress about it though cuz I'll be hittin the gym hardcore as soon as this lil man is out.

this. my pcp told me when i asked to have it checked that pregnancy is not the time.
