Well, I called the Community College & informed them that I was getting letters for people that do not live in my household.  They told me to make sure I return any and all letters that are received for them.  That will put a freeze on their student account & then they will have to show proof of residency before registering.

Yesterday, I got bills from the community college addressed to my step son & his two friends.  I made sure to send the friends' letters back this morning.

Ugh, what a pain. But it sounds like even if you keep getting letters, your hands are clean and the school knows it!

On an unrelated note, thanks for the help with the SSN. We finally got everything straightened out and got his new card and his name is legally what it is supposed to be!
