sharp lower back pains at 40 weeks?

My due date is saturday. I haven't dilated any, but the baby is  head down right on my pelvic bone, and has dropped.

 Earlier I started having hot pain shoot up my back. It feels like it comes from the back of my leg straight up through my back, and I have to just stop moving until it goes away, and even then as soon as I start to walk again it's back. It hurt so bad earlier that my feet started to tingle. 

 Does anyone know what's going on?

I'm now 2 days past due date and I haven't quite had this all the way to my feet but have had it shoot down my legs. I think it's just part of our bodies prepping for labor and how the baby moves. Call your dr if it gets too uncomfortable and they can prescribe something for the discomfort that won't hurt the baby. Good luck!
