is how my DS was described by a friend to her DIL this afternoon. She sat with me a few times when we were in NICU. It broke my heart, and even now it is still in pieces. I understand that NICU is a scary world for visitors, but...not even human? :`(

We are taking a mini-vacation with the lovely people who took us in after the fire and while we were looking for a new home. They have a house in the woods somewhere. It will be nice to get out of the city for a couple of days.

I'll miss you, Bumpies, but I'll be back. For those with LO's at home I hope you enjoy your weekend - and for those with LO's in NICU I hope it's all good news and uplifting moments.

All of this.  I'll be honest - I saw the title and was just like, No.  I can't even read that this early in the morning.  And then to find out it was from a supportive "friend".  Sigh.  I'm so sorry for you.

I have to admit, the NICU can be scary, but after a while, it turns into a very special place and it takes alot of special people to work there and care for all the little peanuts!!
