I don't really post on here, but used to post on 12-24 months.
So in the past few hours, my DS went from being his normal self to getting really tired and whiney, taking a nap, waking up with a fever, projectile vomitting, etc. The rapid onset suggests food poisoning to me, but we just got everything he's had today at the store yesterday...its all fresh. But he went to daycare today and they give snacks and stuff.
We also went to the hot springs yesterday and played in the colder pools (like 98 degrees.) Could that have something to do with it?

Re: Quick Question
I think the only thing you can do is take him to the doctor, tell them what you said here, and let them figure it out.
It could be a bunch of different things. The flu tends to have a 72ish hour incubation period, depending on the strain, so it could be that, or any of the things you mentioned.
Oh no! I hope he feels better soon!
The freshness of the food has little to do with food poisoning; it is all about contamination. LO could be sick from either food poisoning or the stomach flu. https://www.fitsugar.com/Difference-Between-Stomach-Bug-Food-Poisoning-993580
