Novarel Inject Q

I am supposed to do a Novarel injection intramuscular tonight.  I have only previously done a subcutaneous injection.  My question is, do I leave the 1 1/2 mixing needle to inject or am I supposed to change to something else.  Thanks!

When I used it there was 2 needles, one wide/larger for mixing and one small one for going into the tush.

I have two but they are the same size.  Both 22Gx1 1/2"

yes, you'll still change the needle for the actual injection. Mine were different sized needles with different colored caps, but this video shows a 1.5" sized needle used for mixing, then a new 1.5" sized needle for the intramuscular injection.

My trigger was pregnyl but it also had the 1 1/2 mixing needle. That's what we used.  It really wasn't bad at all.  DH did it for me though. Are you doing it yourself??? GL!!!

I am a fool and driving at midnight to my friends house who is a nurse.  I would be more likely to consider DH if he wasn't sniffing and sneezing everywhere.

Oh I totally would have done that too. I was racking my brain to think of someone to do it for me. My neighbors are doctors and I did consider it. But I barely know them so that would have been weird....GL!
