30wk checkup

I went to the doctor yesterday and the only thing they did was weigh me, check BP, measure fundal height, and hear baby's HR. It was the same thing we did 2 weeks ago with the exception of blood work to test for GD...Am I going to do this again in 2 more weeks? It seems a little pointless to go every 2 weeks when nothing is more is happening. 

 Mama wants to get to the good stuff! I'm ready for our baby to get here! I just wish I knew the exact day that Lane would be here. I want to ask my DR how long after my EDD will she induce.. With DS1 I was induced 3 days after my EDD. That was a different DR and I'm pretty sure they do things differently up here in WA than they do in GA.

they will continue to do the same things until week 36-37 when your one week checks start. kinda boring! i just had my last 2 week appt today, the only difference was i got the strep test. My dr starts cervical checks next week.

I was wondering about this too. My doctor is an hours drive and I'm not really looking forward to it every two weeks just to find out what I weigh. Or at least it feels like it. So then we get to expect cervical checks every week after about 36 weeks? Oh boy.

That's all my 30 week checkup consisted of as well. It looks like things are going to be pretty boring until closer to the end. That said, they are just keeping an eye to make sure you and baby aren't developing any issues (pre-e, etc.) It sucks to take off from work for these 10 minute appointments though!
