Re: For Moms whose baby was breeched whole time
my baby was frank breech from 24 weeks on. Never moved and I had a c-section.
I tried spinning babies inversion techniques and webster chiropractic, but she wasn't moving... mainly because I had low amniotic fluid.
It's still early for you, so hopefully your baby will head south soon!
You should check out the exercises at SpinningBabies.com. They didn't work for me, but I didn't start them early enough... and I've heard a lot of success stories.
There is still plenty of time for your baby to turn, but I would start the exercises now. Everyone told me I had plenty of time and now I'm almost 39 weeks and only a few days away from a scheduled c-section! My LO is just stubborn... he's been complete breech with his head under my ribs for months and months. There's just no moving him.
Good luck!
My first baby was breech, I had him rotated sometime during my last trimester. It was about as painful as labor and I cried the entire time. They almost had to give me oxygen! After the torture I had a girdle put on to try to "keep him in place". Needless to say, that didn't work at all! He still ended up being breech and I had a c-section after two full days of terrible labor.
He ended up weighing 9lbs 6oz, so then again I'm glad he didn't have a vaginal birth haha. But he was healthy, so that is all that mattered to me

My LO was breech pretty much the whole time. Her head was way up in my ribs and she always had her legs and feet up near her head. She was basically in a ball the whole time. I tried all kinds of exercises but she would not move. I ended up having a C-section. I did not want to do the external version. I carried very high during my entire pregnancy. I read that sometimes babies are breech for a reason.
From 32 wks on she was frank breech and never moved. Nothing worked, not even the version (OBs couldn't turn her) and I had a section.
She was small 5lb 4oz and my fluid was great, sometimes there is a uterine factor that they can't explain, but the babies don't "fit" any other way.
I was frank breech when I was born (my mom delivered me that way! OMG!) and my twins right now are both transverse or tran/frank.
OB thinks that there must be something with my uterus that keeps babies in a funny position.
I just get worried about her little legs being in that same position for that long.......
thanks ladies
I had the same concern. I just had to take my LO at 6 weeks for an ultrasound on her hips and then an X-ray at 6 months to make sure she did not have hip dysplacia (sp). She did not.
