I give DD milk twice a day and she only drinks a couple oz each time. I try flavoring it and those Horizon milk boxes but still prob a total of 5 oz a day if that! She has never liked it and it's always been a struggle. Pedi said it's important for her to get 12 oz in addition to cheese/yogurt. She loves cheese but not yogurt unless it's frozen. Anyone else's LO like this? So sick of pushing milk!

Re: Anyone elses LO not drink much milk?
My son goes days without milk. Mostly b/c it's summer and he is active and I always give him water to stay hydrated. He does have a greek yogurt smoothie almost everyday (made at home). And usually cheese too.
Why does your pedi say 12oz? My son might get 12oz a week of milk. I see no harm.

I love these two beautiful children!
My son doesn't drink milk at all and my pedi is aware of this and says as long as he has yogurt or dairy from other sources, to not push it. I mean I can't FORCE him to drink it.
We're going to keep trying but I don't go crazy. He drinks water. That's it. But he's growing and thriving.
Also, my pedi suggested soy or rice milk. Not sure if it's something for you to consider?

This is DD exactly. She loves other dairy products, but the girl won't drink milk!
Since my daughter turned 1, she has barely drank any milk. Maybe a few ounces a day. She does like breakfast milkshakes (carnation instant breakfast), but other than that, she barely drinks any. We give chocolate and strawberry as well, but it doesn't make a difference.
