Does anyone have the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper?

I don't even have this item yet and I'm already sold on it, lol.  The reviews seem to all rave about it and I can't find a single comparable item on the market.  There don't seem to be any other products that can function as a bassinet with a drop-down side & attach to your bed.  It seems like such a great product for those first few months, with the late night feedings and all.  Later, it doesn't get thrown out - it's now a pack-n-play!  Co-sleeping in the same bed makes me a little nervous (bed isn't huge and DH is a thrasher) and bassinets used only for a few months seem so wasteful to me.  It sounds so perfect for my needs that I wonder if I'm missing something here?  Would love to hear your thoughts on it =)

Also, does anyone know if the regular Graco pack-n-play sheets or any other sheets will fit it?  Arm's Reach only sells a white one, and I'd like some color or patterns.  Target.com isn't giving me the dimensions of the sheets.

  • I don't have it but I registered for it. I wishI had it the first time and I don't BF! I realized pretty early on that the baby prefers being close and sleeping with us then all alone. So DD ended up in our bed more than in her bassinet.  I was not a big fan either, but I also desperately needed to sleep so I did what I had to do. I'm hoping that the co-sleeper will help me co-sleep more safely.

  • We borrowed one and it was great. I put the side up and moved it a foot away from the bed early on because I prefered to just stand up next to the bed to reach in to grab the baby/change a diaper. I didn't find leaning over to reach in comfortable, and I also found it uncomfortable to kneel on the bed to reach in due to postpartum swelling. We basically used at as our upstairs pack n play. It was great for DS to play in while I showered as he got bigger.

  • We have the mini and I do like it, I don't love it.  DS1 was in a bassinet and I hated having to get out of bed, esp just to put a pacifier back in.  I had c-sections and honestly usign the cosleeper wasn't easier on the pain than the bassinet was.  However, as an already tired mom of barely-a-toddler, it made life a lot easier for those little moment where baby needed to be soothed.  We also co-sleep so usually he would just stay in our bed after I nursed him because both of us would fall asleep, I didn't want to wake him up moving him back.

Like I said, I don't *love* it but I liked it enough to keep it for the next baby.  I think the regular sized one is pretty big.  I really like the size of the mini and we don't use pack n plays for anything except DS2's nap right now.  I never used a pack n play with DS1.

  • I just purchased it from a mommy friend gently used and I'm so excited. DS outgrew the bassinet of the pack and play at 3 months and then we co-slept (and kicked daddy out of the bed) for another 3 months. This time around, I'm hoping the co-sleeper will help keep baby next to me for 5 months or so.

  • I looked in to the arms reach but ended up ordering the Graco Notting Hill Travel Lite Crib with Stages. I will still be registering for a standard size pack and play though. I saw that Walmart has fitted sheets for cosleepers online.

Sorry for the funky font, I dont know whats going on.

  • I had the mini with DD, and it was ok.  I used my bassinet as much if not more, so I sold the co-sleeper to a consignment store.  It wouldn't attach properly to my bed since my bed is high.  I pulled the bassinet close to the bed, and it sufficed.  Also, the mini is pretty useless after a few months since it doesn't turn into a regular pack n play.  If you want a co-sleeper, go for the full size!
