Finally parting with the Paci today!

Today is D-Day in our house and the Paci Fairy is coming during nap time today. He is going to leave her a note with some ideas of a big boy toy he'd like and leave his paci's for the paci fairy to take to the babies and she will leave him a big boy toy in exchange. I know this is gonna require quite a bit of patience today and that its gonna be hard cuz he's always been super attached to his paci. Please send lots of good vibes this way at  nap time that things are a disaster!

it is going to be a rough few days but it will be worth it in the end.  Nic is a thumb sucker with no signs of letting it go. Lots of extra hugs for both, I think you'll need them.

Good luck!  The Passy Fairy came the night before we went on our beach trip in June and we went on vacation with no passies.  It went o.k. while we were there because she was distracted and I slept in the bed with her.  But when we got home she started getting up a lot at night.  After a couple of weeks, we gave in and have let her have it at night.  She's just not ready to give it up and honestly we can't deal with not having sleep right now.  I took her to the dentist and talked with her about it and everything is o.k.  She just needs to give it up before permanent teeth. 

I loved my passy and gave mine up easily right after my three year dr. visit.  We hoped Camryn would be the same but it didn't turn out that way. 

Hope you have better luck than us...it's a tough process.

I hope it went well, please update. The paci fairy came and took one of Jocelyn's away (she asked for it back for like 3 weeks before giving up) and now she has one left. We tried to take that away but like Wendy said she kept waking up and crying and with a newborn in the house my sleep is limited enough as it is, so I gave it back. I hope Jack does well!
