Fitteds are stiff?

My fitteds are getting stiffer as I wash them. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to soften them up? They feel like old towels and I've only been using them for a month :(

    Ecover. I've never used it myself but I know some mamas here have used it. Do you line dry or use the dryer? When I line dry, my fitteds are really stiff so I throw them in the dryer for a few minutes.

    I toss them in the dryer for 20 minutes to soften them up.
