We are going on vacation soon and will be stopping at Trader Joes to get some groceries for our trip. We will be gone for 5 days and have a kitchen at the place we are staying at, so I want to buy some snacks so that we aren't eating out at restaurants the whole time. The store is on our way, but at least an hour from where we are actually staying, so I probably won't be buying anything that needs to be kept cold (like ice cream or dairy products), but if its something cold that doesn't really need to be kept to temperature I might consider it. (I don't know if we'll have room for a cooler).
My favorites are their trail mixes, their version of wheat things, and olive oil popcorn. What are your favorites so I can be better prepared to shop? Oh and the one we are stopping at has beer, so if you have any recommendations for DH on beer that would be good too!
Thanks ladies!
Re: What's your favorite food from Trader Joes?
DD - February 2011
LO eats their veggie sticks, baked onion rings, multigrain crackers, and snappea crisps.
DH likes the honey mustard pretzels.
I like the dark chocolate cherry KIND bars.
I really like their pita chips! Here are good links I refer to a lot:

Christmas PJ's!
Chocolate covered anything (the dark chocolate peanut butter cups are extra dangerous) and apple/carrot sauce in the pouches.
I know you don't want frozen things, but DDs really like their turkey meatballs and that makes an easy meal with some pasta and sauce. Their frozen risottos are really tasty too.

Fleur de Sel Caramel, Candy Cane Jo-Jo's, Peanut Butter Cups.
As for stuff that's not absolutely terrible for you, Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage, pre-cut kale, salad dressings.
My Blog

Kids love the fruit chews (apple watermelon, strawberry, etc, theyre inthe dried fruit & nut aisle, they come in little packets in a box), and the bars someone referred to ("a XXX walked into a bar" with the XXX being the fruit, we get apple & fig). I get their applesauce squeezer things too. Their mini whole grain crackers are great w/ cheese or PB. I like their 'pub cheese' which could probably keep in the car for a bit- it is the spreadable kind but the ingredients make it seem like it's not overly fake/processed.
I love the guacamole 'kit', you could grab that & a bag of corn chips... it has all you need to make a batch of guac.
I also like their jalapeno cheese crunchie things (similar to cheetos but baked & not as orange-y) .
Their baking mix makes the best pancakes. I also love their brownie mix. I really wish I lived closer to one.
