Cloth Diapering

If you have sold something on HC, please come in.

I'm trying to figure out if this is the best way to go about this.  We need to set up an online shop for a single CD related product.  DH wants to go with eBay, but I think if it's CD related, a lot of people will be familiar enough with HC to be comfortable using that.  Problem is, I'm not really familiar with it.  I'm reading through the FAQ's, and it seems like there is the potential for glitches, but it's more because of the number of people buying at once than a flaw with the HC system.  If you have a store on HC, can you give me some pointers or let me know what to expect?  I don't want to go in blind, especially if I have to convince DH to get on board.  TIA!

  • i havent had any issues, just make sure to keep your fees paid or your store will go inactive.  they don't send out notices to pay.

  • Thank you for responding!  Do you mind telling me how the shipping works?  Do you just set a flat shipping rate, or does it adjust the shipping for the customer based on their zip code?  I appreciate any help...my husband and I are teachers and we are trying to get a small shop up and running before school starts in a few weeks :)  Any help/advice you can offer is much appreciated!

  • you set the shipping rate.  You can take your product to the P.O., have them weigh it and see how much it costs to ship, then when you fill out each item description, you enter the shipping info.
