3rd Trimester

Partially turned last night

And it's WONDERFUL. Baby is no longer standing on my bladder and kneading my pubic bone with his feet. Now he's diagonal, with his head high right and his feet low left, butt pressing against my belly button. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. I'd forgotten what it felt like to actually have an empty bladder!

I had no idea how amazing it would be. I know he can still flip back at any time, especially since he's not head-down yet, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. OMG. Heaven.

  • How the heck do you know that?  I can tell she's walking on my pelvic area and bladder, but other than that she kicks all over. I want to know how she's laying.

  • So jealous. My LO has decided that it is more fun to play on my bladder than to do anything else. Although he did do something last week that put the world of hurt on my stomach.

  • Congrats on the relief! Wait until 38 weeks when they're pushing against your rib cage AND dancing on your bladder AND head butting your cervix. :)

I'm a FTM so am mostly guessing, but it just feels different. I don't get the flutters in the center of my crotch or the kneading feeling right on top of my bladder. The fluttery-kneading feeling is now in the lower left area and the bigger "thuds" and pressure are in the upper right, just below my rib cage. And I have a strong pressure right behind my belly button, which would correspond with where the baby's butt or pelvis would be if the baby truly is diagonal.

I am LOVING the bladder relief. It's so nice not to flush, stand up, then immediately have to sit down again to finish emptying my bladder.

Mine spent the past 10 weeks using my bladder as a trampoline, so I feel your pain. I know it'll get worse when he's big and fully head-down, but I'm enjoying this while it lasts.

(edited -- first wrote "using my trampoline as a bladder"...LOL!)
