If your insurance did NOT cover Progesterone what did you do?

Yeah, the story of my life here...need help and can't get it...im freaking out right now because my insurance will not cover the medication.  I  called Makena and they said once im KU that my doctors office can fax them this and that and blah blah...so I will try that but I need a plan B C D E and F....

  • I was freaking out then I found a compounding pharmacy that sends out their meds every month for testing and publicly shows the results. I talked to the head pharmacist and he was so very helpful. He explained how they make it and that they have a sterile room that they make all their injection meds in. It will cost me 80$ for a month supply. YIPPIE!

  • Just get the generic that they've been making for years.  Your Dr should be able to help you find a compounding pharmacy that you can order it from.  You don't have to get Makena, it's just a name brand.  I got all 20 shots for $180.
