Phil & Teds Stroller?

Does anyone have any experience with Phil & Teds Strollers? I am looking specifically at the classic. What I'm looking for in a stroller is something not too heavy, folds and unfolds easily, and good maneuverability. What I think I would like about the Phil and Teds is that you can use it from newborn (with or without the carseat) to toddler and that you can also attach a doubles kit for when you have a second child. Just wondering if anyone knows if it's as good as it sounds...

Re: Phil & Teds Stroller?

  • I had one, and I thought it was ok. There were a few things that I didn't like about it:

    no cup holder

no canopy for the second seat

    my tires were always deflating

    2nd seat has no recline

I ended up selling it and purchasing the Britax B-ready. I love this one so much more. It doesn't have the inflatable tires like the P&T, but I actually like this, because I don't have to carry an air pump in my trunk any more. Overall, I just feel like its a better stroller.

  • We love our Phil and Ted. We originally had the classic one but upgraded to the Explorer. It is the most compact double stroller I have seen. It maneuvers well. We jog with it almost daily. You can buy the carseat attachment. There is no cup holder but we just used the velcro one we had from our BOB. The explorer has a recline on the second seat and a canopy. The classic doesn't. I would highly recommend the explorer. I looked at a number of doubles the second time around to make sure and all of the rest were bulky or felt cheap.
