I have decided to have a vbac after planning on c-section and would like to find a good labor and delivery dvd for my husband and I too watch. Any suggestions? There are no more classes avail. where I live.
I don't know about a class but the movie The Business of Being Born shows many different women in labor and delivering all natural. It may help you with ideas on how to cope with labor.
Keep in mind that this video is very opposed to any medication during labor, so if you think that might upset you, you may not want to watch it. It can be very one-sided. However the coping techniques like breathing and using the birthing ball are used in this video, as well as a birthing tub.
DH is a librarian and they have a decent selection of labor and delivery class dvds available.
Not to be all up in your business but from what I've heard (which I admit isn't much) doctors are sometimes reluctant to do VBACS. It is going to be extremely important that you either get your doctor on board and or learn the stages of labor and labor at home as long as possible so that when you arrive at the hospital it's basically time to deliver the baby in order to avoid being sent in for a c-section anyway. Best of luck to you! I hope you find something good and free at your local library.

Yep! I am aware of docs discouraging vbacs and hosp. being reluctant. But after research and my case being pretty good for vbac (been almost 12 years since my son and it wasn't an emergency c-section, he was in breech) I have decided for one. My docs on board, just gave me the precautions. Hospital does not allow vbacs so I have to sign a paper stating I don't want a cesarean and am aware of the dangers. After making my desision I feel I would like my husband and I to be more Knowledgable in being prepared for natural. labor and delivery.

I bought mine on Amazon. They have used copies starting at $12. I think I paid $15 including shipping.
