circ and disposable vs fleece liners?

DH is adamant about LO being circumcised at birth.  I know that there is some sort of ointment involved in the aftercare that is probably not CD safe.  Planning on using sposies in hospital, but would rather switch to CDs starting with leaving the hospital.  I looked briefly into the flushable liners and there are all sorts of opinions and lots of comments about how rough they are, which doesn't sound nice for a fresh circ.  I also read about using fleece liners, and was considering just making my own.  Thoughts?  If I make my own, how big should they be?

you can definitely cut your own up from old sweatshirts or fabric! For a NB I would probably do a 4" L X 3" W square to cover and place near front of the diaper.
