Alright, I survived the trial embryo transfer, although I ended up in a bit of pain. They tried (3 different Drs) to get the caths in, and had no luck. They ended up having to use some local anesethic (man I can't spell that....) and really did a number.... They are talking about putting a stitch in during ER so that they can get in easier during the real deal.
Anyone else have a tricky situation like this? I am assuming it won't affect anything negatively, they didn't act like it was a huge thing. Not sure if anyone else has had this and has advice??
Re: Trial Transfer-Done!
I have cervical stenosis, and my last RE always did the ETs under anesthesia. She said it helped to relax my cervix and uterus and I didn't feel any pain.. at least until afterwards!
I have a new RE now and she is going to do a mock transfer and then will see what the plan is.
Good luck!
